Diana L. Clarke, Ph.d.

Diana has been consulting with top management on a wide range of human capital management issues including: leadership selection or development, assessment, and retention of talent, mentoring, change initiatives, succession planning, and strategic alignment of talent with core business issues.  She has worked with many leadership teams over the years facilitating and guiding the strategy development and succession planning efforts. She conducts workshops on interviewing, selection, performance management, mentoring, succession planning, and team development. Workshops support on-going organizational initiatives. She also custom designs and validates testing for selection including current work with the Iowa Department of Corrections and Greater Cleveland Rapid Transit Authority.

 

As an organizational consultant, Diana has guided the execution of scorecards and metrics for strategic alignment, facilitated strategic planning, worked with acquisition teams, assessed executives, developed selection systems for all levels in the organization, designed performance management systems, and succession strategies. She has created competency models and 360 instruments that are linked to leadership development and organizational strategies. Our custom testing platform, www.hirerighttesting.com provides short online assessments for most positions.  She customizes your testing and validates it for specific roles to predict performance.

 

In her role as an executive coach, Diana has designed systems which integrated assessment and development to build bench strength, accelerate the onboarding of new executives, guide valuable leaders in addressing the problems and challenges that would have otherwise derailed their careers, and coached key leaders in building their team. She is certified in a wide variety of assessment instruments, 360 processes, and coaching frameworks. She combines the assessment tools with feedback, and her own business and organizational experience to assist the executive in meeting the current challenges and growing to “step up to the next level” or building their teams or growing the business.

 

Diana has a passion for developing individuals in all stages of the life cycle.  Her volunteer activities reflect this commitment. In her practice and her activities, she is constantly working with individuals to achieve their potential. Diana served 13 years on the Medina County Workforce Policy Board and was past chair of the joint Medina-Summit Board. She is a past member of the Ohio Psychological Association Board of Trustees, a member of NEO HR Leadership Group, served 8 years on Akron-Summit Women’s Shelter Board, and currently is Past Chair, Lorain County Goodwill board. She was recently elected to the Medina County Educational Services Center board. She is a licensed psychologist in Ohio and is adjunct faculty at Walsh University. She is the author on numerous papers and has presented programs for various conferences on selection, succession planning, mentoring, and leadership.

  • Diana holds a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Industrial and Gerontological Psychology from the University of Akron.
